In Week 6, I divided 60-75 searches by stages, designed source-specific strategies, and completed a prompt of approximately 600 lines. It was a systematic prompt that included descriptions of each source, 4-stage search strategy, search frequency plan, and evaluation criteria.
However, there was a problem. Managing 600 lines in the chat window was not easy. To check the prompt once, I had to scroll for a while, and to find a specific part, I had to use Ctrl+F. A bigger problem was modification, during which I could mistakenly touch other parts. I needed a way to manage it as a file.
I organized the problems of managing a 600-line prompt in the chat window specifically.
First, it is difficult to grasp visually. 600 lines cannot all be seen on one screen. To see the front part of the prompt, I had to scroll up, and to see the back part, I had to scroll down. I could not grasp the overall structure at a glance.
Second, it is difficult to find specific parts. If I wanted to modify "source 3's 2-stage search strategy", I had to search for "source 3" with Ctrl+F. However, because the word "source 3" appears in multiple places, I had to search multiple times until I found the desired position.
Third, mistakes can occur during the modification process. During the process of copy-pasting the prompt, parts could be cut off, or I could mistakenly delete other parts. Because it is difficult to review all 600 lines every time, I might not immediately discover such mistakes.
Fourth, it is difficult to maintain consistency. If I specified "source 1: 18 searches" in the front part of the prompt, but modified the search count in the detailed plan in the back part, I had to modify the front part together. Because there are multiple such dependencies, when I modified one place, I had to find all related places and modify them.
